t-shirt tuesday
I found this shirt while walking in the mall this weekend. It seems so appropriate. I've recently notice that Facebook has become a personal dumping ground for people to trash their friend, family and spouses. I say that if you have a problem, confront it. Go to the person. Don't talk trash about them, while not mentioning their name. Really? Grow up!

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
This is the simplest and yummiest recipe ever. It's so simple my 11-year old makes them, with a little help from the momma! Two ingredients is all it takes. Hope you give them a try!
Ingredients: 24 Mini Reese Peanut Butter cups & 1 package of Toll House Chocolate Chip refrigerated cookie dough.
Take the 24 peanut butter cups and unwrap them. Once done put them in the refrigerator to keep them chilled until you need them.
Line a 24-cup mini muffin tray with liners.
Separate your cookie dough into the 24 squares and place one in each lined well.
Bake the cookies for the time stated on the cookie wrapper. When they are done, pull them from the oven and push a unwrapped peanut butter cup into each cookie. They willbegin to met a little.
Place the cookie (still in the muffin tray) into the freezer for about 20 minutes to quickly stop the cooking process and to chill them faster. *** yes, this picture shows them out of the tray, but trust me keep them in the tray to cool them.
Take them out and go to it. They are ready to eat, or in the case of my son, devour them!

t-shirt tuesday
Can I just say that I love t-shirts. Whenever I get a chance, I'm in one. It's even better now that I've lost weight. There are so many more options and styles for someone whose lost 25 lbs.
Each week I'm going to post a favorite t-shirt that either I own or just absolutely adore and hope to own. There will also be weeks, where my son"B" is my muse. I will also be showing you some of my revamped t-shirts. With the weight loss, some are to big, but I still love them. so, I'm going to show you how I've revamped them to make them new again. I hope you come along for the ride.

finally friday ...
I'm going to try and post at the end of the week pictures that I've taken with my iPod using the Instagram app. You can follow me on Instagram ... my user name is 1sassymomma. OK, so here's a look at some of the pictures I've posted since 2012 began, and yes a few you've already seen in previous posts, I think!
These cows are on display at my parents house. Love them!
Painted toes make me happy!
No words needed ...
Nothing better than a diet Coke
These strainers are so bright and cheerful ... yeah!
This vintage truck is one that my husband played with as a child and the book behind it has his sir name in the title.
So yummy. I'll share the recipe in a future post.
So I hope you enjoyed this photo review of some of my favorite things from the last 13 days of 2012. If you didn't, well, I can't help that. Maybe next time!
creative kids
I teach preschool and this week I had the opportunity to work with the kids in the art lab. Usually my assistant works in that lab, but she was sick which gave me some time to create with the kids. They are learning about all forms of art like ~ painting, sewing, using clay, making 3-d art and more ... I had shown them some art pictures that used different textures and colors and then we went to the art lab and created our own piece of art by layering and using all different types of art materials (paint, paper, tissue paper, yarn, foil and fabric). I love how it turned out so much that I may just have it framed and hang it in my house once it's taken it's turn on display in the classroom.
I LOVE IT!

Photo Editing
Ok, so I'm addicted to photo editing lately. I can't get enough of taking and editing photos. I am also, still loving the photo mosaic tool over at Big Huge Labs. The other editing software I use are apps on my iPod. I love Instagram the most. Check out some of the stuff I've done recently.
Yes, I'm in my "happy place" and I love it.

Weight Watchers Yogurt
I love Weight Watchers yogurt. My favorite is Amaretto Cheesecake ... yum! Well today I went to one of my local grocery stores to buy some and the store had them marked at $1.05. Seriously? Talk about price gouging. I didn't buy it and left to hit a different store. At the second store they were $.79, which was a bit better. I didn't have any more time to go to store number three, so I bought two cups at $.79 each.
This got me to thinking about how supermarkets can be quite the rip-off if your not careful. I usually don't shop at either of these two stores unless there's a sale, but today I was in a pinch. The first store was an Acme, which usually has higher prices that the other two, but if you find some good sales, you can definitely save some money. The second store was a ShopRite, which is usually better on prices and this week they are having great sales, so I though I would do better. The store I usually shop at is a Wal-Mart Superstore. They have great prices, take coupons (which the other two also do) an have good quality products, and there Weight Watchers yogurt is only $.50.
So what have I learned today? Know your prices. My plan is to save money this year and spend less. In order to do that, this is one area where knowing prices, sales and the best places to shop will. Also use coupons. They may take come time to cut out, but the end result of more money in your pocket is worth it.

What I'm reading ...
I saw Marilyn Meberg at a Women of Faith event and was quite intrigued. Funny, entertaining and she opened my eyes to some every insightful revelations. Her book is no different. Defenitely a good read.
